Entirely developed by GASO’s team, our Knowledge-building workshops are uniquely tailored to meet the needs and questions of caregivers. This service is specially designed for those seeking practical tools and insights to better manage their caregiving role. In an intimate, continuous, small-group setting, our team creates an atmosphere of trust, solidarity, and mutual aid. The counselor balances psychoeducational content with participant sharing, allowing everyone to leave feeling more equipped and better supported.

Preventing Burnout Workshop

Are you feeling the effects of prolonged stress in your caregiving role and fear burnout? Our Preventing Burnout Workshop, led by our counselor, offers a safe space to better understand and prevent this reality. Over 8 weeks, this workshop helps you acquire concrete tools to conserve your energy and restore balance in your life.

This workshop will:

  • Help you develop reflexes for better stress management related to caregiving.
  • Offer practical strategies to maintain your physical and mental well-being, while creating a safe space where caregivers meet weekly to build genuine connections.
  • Provide a balance between learning concrete tools and sharing experiences, encouraging deep reflection on the importance of self-care.

  • Help you make an informed, independent decision between placing your loved one in a care facility or keeping them at home.
  • Provide a safe space for sharing and reflection, where you can express your concerns and emotions about housing or home care.
  • Offer tools and information on the public and private housing process, as well as on home care support resources.
  • Introduce you to a professional who will guide you through the steps of accessing housing resources.

Are you a caregiver experiencing the loss of a loved one? The Journey Through Grief Workshop could help you navigate this difficult time. Spread over 12 weeks, this workshop offers a safe space for support throughout the grieving process, specifically tailored to those who have lost someone while in a caregiving role. The sessions involve group discussions, exploring different themes related to the grieving process under the guidance of a counselor.
