Taking Care
of Yourself
Caring for a loved one requires time, energy, and compassion. But to be fully available and provide this support, it is crucial to take care of oneself first. The well-being of caregivers is essential: nurturing your resources allows you to better support those who matter to you.
It is to help you take care of yourself amidst the chaos of caregiving that GASO offers three types of rejuvenating workshops.
Wellness Workshop
Music and Well-being
Our Music and Well-being workshops offer a relaxing moment where music helps to navigate certain caregiving challenges. Through these workshops, music becomes a healthy resource to promote resilience and foster well-being. As a participant, you are invited to listen to and share music, compose or discuss song lyrics, and explore artistic mediums such as drawing or free writing accompanied by music.

Art Therapy
Our Art Therapy groups offer a welcoming, safe, and non-judgmental therapeutic space where caregivers can reconnect with themselves. In art therapy, individuals create and explore artistic productions to encourage the free expression of emotions, self-awareness, and self-discovery.
In the context of caregiving, art therapy allows you to take time for yourself, helps manage stress, and welcomes the complexity of emotions related to your situation, such as guilt, anger, or grief. In addition to reconnecting with your needs and emotional state, the art therapy group allows you to form connections with others experiencing a similar situation.
